To provide free advice, support and representation for every child and their parent/s/carer who approaches us with their schooling needs relating to school exclusion, reintegration, inclusion and attainment.
Our Vision
A just society in which every child is included in the mainstream and receives a first rate balanced education that will allow them to fulfil their potential and make a contribution to society.
CEN believes that:
Every child who is excluded from school should receive advice, support and representation from experienced advocates and reintegration workers in such a way that they return to full-time, mainstream education ready to realise their all round potential.
Pupils experiencing problems in (and out of) school respond positively to an independent advocate committed to supporting them and their needs.
Schools, pupil and parent/s benefit from the involvement of an independent education advocate in times of crisis.
Early intervention can help disadvantaged and disaffected children and young people to remain in full-time, mainstream education and therefore to succeed and achieve to their full potential.
CEN aims to provide an environment in which its staff can develop professionally and therefore continue to expand the organisation’s skill base.
